Principal
Mary Calkins, EdS. - Building Principal
The 2024-2025 school year is here!! We are striving to continue Meadows Parkway Early Childhood’s reputation for social emotional growth and academic excellence. This is my eleventh year at Meadows Parkway Early Childhood, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to work with all of the wonderful students and families and engage in the educational process together.
I wanted to share my educational background with each of you. This is my nineteenth year in educational leadership, my twelfth year leading Meadows Parkway Early Childhood. Prior to becoming principal, I had many leadership experiences including my service as an assistant principal at Independence Elementary for six years and John Weldon Elementary for one and a half years. While these experiences were amazing, I will always be a teacher at heart with 12 years of teaching experience in the Francis Howell School District. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education (K-8) from St. Louis University, a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Missouri Baptist University.
On a personal note, I am happily married to my husband, Chris of twenty-seven years. Together we have three amazing sons, a daughter in law, and granddaughter: Jake (31), Zachary (27, Gavin (18), Katelyn (31), and Isabella (2). I also have two, nine-year-old, yellow Labrador retrievers, Duramax and Allison.
I am honored to lead the Meadows Parkway Early Childhood team; to be a part of an amazing school that completely devotes all time and attention to child development, social emotional growth, academic success, and achievement. I look forward to working with each and every member of the Meadows Parkway Early Childhood family and the community of the Francis Howell School District.
