Melanie Miller, M.A. - Building Principal

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!

I am so excited to welcome you to another wonderful year at Meadows Parkway Early Childhood! As I begin my first year as principal, I am looking forward to continuing the amazing work we do here, while further supporting student learning, growth, and building meaningful connections with our incredible students, families, and community members.

I have been truly blessed to call Meadows Parkway my home for the last six years as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. During my time in the classroom, I also had the pleasure of serving in various leadership roles. I have served on our building Leadership Team to help guide our school improvement plan, represented our school on the District Professional Development Committee to ensure our educators receive meaningful training, and served as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) lead. Additionally, I led our instructional framework initiatives, ensuring our staff had the necessary tools and strategies to help their students succeed. Through this dedicated work, I was deeply honored to be selected as our Teacher of the Year for the 2021–2022 school year.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration, both from Lindenwood University. I am certified by the state of Missouri in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and Leadership and Supervision.

Outside of school, I am a proud "softball and baseball aunt" who loves watching my niece and nephew play. I am a huge lover of crisp fall weather, planning new solo trip adventures, and absolutely all things Christmas! I also enjoy catching a beautiful sunset on my family's land, listening to live music, making memories with lifelong friends, and snuggling up with my little shih tzu, Kaiser.

It is truly an honor to lead such an exceptional learning community. Meadows Parkway is a welcoming, inclusive, and caring environment where we focus on nurturing social-emotional growth and fostering a love for learning through meaningful, play-based experiences. I believe that a strong early childhood foundation sets the stage for a lifetime of success, and my door is always open as we partner together to ensure your child's first school experiences are magical.
