Transportation Survey: We want your feedback!

Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Roumpos speaks at the February 1, 2023 Transportation Citizens Roundtable

There’s still time to take our transportation survey, if you haven’t already!

Like many school districts, we are experiencing a shortage of bus drivers and bus monitors. As a result, the District may be forced to make some difficult decisions about busing for future school years.

Wednesday, February 1, the FHSD community came together to participate in a Citizens Roundtable event focused on school bus transportation. Nearly 100 participants learned more about the transportation challenges the District is facing. The group then shared input on potential solutions that - if implemented - would help address the critical bus driver shortage, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency, unlocking maximum funding from the state.

We understand that many stakeholders were unable to attend due to other commitments, so we are providing an additional forum for input.

Please watch the short video introduction from the meeting, then answer the same questions posed at the Roundtable event.

You may also want to review the slides and handouts from the meeting.

Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts and helping the District determine potential changes in our busing operation. The survey will remain open through February 13, 2023.
